Most of us have heard enough of the “GDPR”, even if we have forgotten most of it. The laws are still here, but not as complex as many believe.

I advise a lot of businesses on data protection, often breaking down the myths that surround it. I help understand the data requirements, which may just be a simple privacy policy for your website, an internal policy for your staff and some training. It is important that your staff do receive refresher training over time.

I also advise companies on how to respond to subject access requests and what to do if they think there may have been a data breach. Remember, you do not need to report everything to the ICO.
