This 45-minute training course provides the learner with an overview of the Financial Conduct Authority's Consumer Duty, which is the new Principle 12 of their Principles for Business.

Consumer Duty sets higher standards for good customer service and care. All firms authorised by the FCA have an obligation to abide by the Duty, which includes ensuring their staff are properly trained to understand it. This course is designed to provide such training.
The FCA has stated it will regularly check that firms have taken sufficient steps to implement the Duty, which again includes staff training.

The course is ideal for induction or refresher training and can be done at the learner's own pace to fit in with a busy schedule.

There are multiple-choice tests throughout the training and a Certificate of Competence for those who successfully complete it.
As a specialist solicitor in regulatory law, I have a lot of experience in dealing with FCA related matters, which has helped me to create this training and give my view on how the Duty should be implemented.
